Hello all!
A mini-Harrison/New York/Chicago update is long overdue.
1. I was in Chicago from 1/20-1/27 workshopping my play WHEN LAST WE FLEW at About Face Theater. The presentations were wonderful. The feedback overwhelmingly positive. And I left with the Artistic Director [Andrew] and my director [Lisa] already pondering a production. While in Chicago I also met with the Literary Managers at The Goodman, Steppenwolf and Victory Gardens. All in all, a very good trip.
2. A draft of the first act of my musical THE LAST QUEEN OF CANAAN [written in collaboration with Rebekah Melocik and Jacob Yandura] was submitted [by request] to Manhattan Theater Clubs today. Hopefully they will like what they read/hear!
3. I just found out that my director friend Sherri Eden Barber and myself are finalists for the Sagal Fellowship at the Williamstown Theatre Festival this summer. Our interview is next Wednesday.
4. Lastly, I have a meeting with Jean Doumanian--a fairly major film/theater production company in New York--THIS Thursday. I'm pitching projects and possibly sussing out whether or not I am a good match for any of their current projects.
I hope everyone is well. And staying warm.
Much love,
H
Very Cool Har! Thanks for the update!
